Frequently Asked Questions
Below you'll find answers to some ofen asked questions:
Q: How do I offer something for the
			archive?
A: Simply follow one of the links to the
			contacts page, and either
email or ring one of the contacts.
Q: If I offer a photo to the archive, who will look after it?
A: All original material belongs to the contributor, and will be returned as soon as the material is added to the archive. Lots of the material has been photographed in situ and so has never left the owner’s sight.
Q: Is anyone allowed to use my contribution for their own personal gain, for example, to publish in a book.
A: No. The archive is copyrighted to USCA on behalf of the local
community, and all material belongs to its contributor. Obviously,
as with books, a certain amount of quotation from published material
			is acceptable.
Q: If I offer a contribution, and then
want to change it, can I do so?
A: Of course. It might take a little while, as the work of
collecting and managing the archive is done entirely by volunteers.
Q: Can I remove my contribution from the
			site?
A: Of course. Just use the contact email to get in touch.
Q: What do I do if I disagree with
			something on the site?
A: As the Home Page points out, people have different perspectives
and recollections. If you have some historical evidence which seems
to contradict something on the site, you might like to offer it for
addition to the site. This is how history is written.
Every effort will be made to ensure that nothing is added to the
site which could offend anyone else, and if anything inadvertently
does so, then it will be removed.
Q:What do I do if I have a question
			which isn't answered here?
A: Just get in touch and ask it. We will do our best to respond
			within a week or so.
